🏆 Florida A&M University (FAMU) is proud to announce the 2025 class of its prestigious “40 Under 40” honorees. This annual recognition celebrates the outstanding achievements of young alumni who have made significant impacts in their professions, communities and alma mater. The awards gala will take place during FAMU’s “Eternal World Tour Homecoming” week on Friday, Oct. 17, 2025, at 7 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom.The 2025 cohort of 40 Under 40 honorees are:Shelby Avery

Jones, associate vice president, facilities, planning, construction, and safety, and William Hudson, Jr., Ph.D., vice president of student affairs, discuss the new residence halls that are under construction and in design phase as part of the university’s strategic plan. Venom Landing, a 700-bed residence hall, will be open in Fall 2025. It will help replace rooms that were moved offline from the razing of Truth, Gibbs, McGuinn, Diamond and Wheatley Halls. Also, a 500-bed residence hall, which will replace the former Paddyfoote Residence Hall, is currently in the design phase.

- 5:30Acosta “Pop” Kittles was selected and enshrined into the American Baseball Coaches AssociationLegendary Florida A&M University (FAMU) coach Acosta “Pop” Kittles was selected and enshrined into the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Hall of Fame in a lavish ceremony at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in Washington D.C. on Jan. 3. The ceremony was sold out as baseball elite gathered to honor the new inductees. The ABCA Hall of Fame is the ultimate shrine to the greatest coaches in amateur baseball, including college and high school.
