Dawkins to Compete at NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Wednesday
EUGENE, Ore. – Florida A&M middle-distance runner Kirk Dawkins will compete in the semi-finals of the 800-meter run Wednesday evening at 8:58 p.m. EST from Haywood Field on the campus of the University of Oregon.
The race will be broadcast on ESPN.
Dawkins clocked a personal-best time of 1:46.62 during the NCAA East Regional quarterfinals.
This achievement marks a significant milestone in Dawkins' athletic career. Earlier in the season, he captured the SWAC Outdoor Championship title in the 800 meters with a time of 1:50.2. The junior's consistent improvement throughout the season, including a 1:48.01 finish at the East Coast Relays, showcases his dedication and progression.
