FAMU Completes Sweep of PVAMU
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. --Florida A&M received contributions from every part of their lineup, as all nine starters reached base safely, helping the Rattlers put seven runs on the board and beat the Prairie View A&M Panthers 7-2 Sunday.
Sophomore Carson Kelly (3-1) picked up the victory out of the bullpen for Florida A&M (14-12, 8-1 SWAC). The southpaw went 5.1 innings, giving up one run on three hits, allowing two walks and striking out four. Freshman Ryan also made an impact on the mound for the Rattlers, throwing two shutout innings while allowing one hit, with no walks and three strikeouts.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Rattlers got on the board immediately, starting their scoring with one run in the bottom of the first inning. Florida A&M managed to push across two runs in the inning.
The Rattlers then lost some of their lead, expanding on their advantage in the second inning after the Panthers cut it to 2-1. Florida A&M managed to push across two runs in the inning, which brought the score to 4-1 in favor of the Rattlers.
