TALLAHASSEE, Fl. - Florida A&M University’s week-long “Eternal World Tour” homecoming celebration is packed with unforgettable events, including the highly anticipated homecoming concert, the legendary parade, and the big game at Bragg Memorial Stadium.

Global theme: The “Eternal World Tour” theme highlights FAMU’s far-reaching legacy, bringing together students, alumni, and supporters from across the world to celebrate the university’s impact and traditions. Homecoming is more than a week of events — it’s a movement that connects generations of Rattlers.

 “Homecoming 2025 celebrates the spirit and traditions that make Florida A&M University unique. This year’s theme, ‘Eternal World Tour,’ reflects the global reach and timeless pride of the Rattler experience,” said Shawnta Friday-Stroud, Ph.D. professor, Sybil Collins Mobley Endowed Chair, and executive director of strategic partnerships and business development. 

Friday-Stroud shared that the students and the university advancement teams have “amazing things” planned for alumni and donors. 

“Our president, as well as everyone here at the university, is just so looking forward to Homecoming 2025. We can’t wait. And if there’s just one message, it would be: do everything with a purpose, but stay safe, because we truly cherish our FAMU community, and we want to make sure that we all not only have a great time, but that we all make it through,” she said. 

Student Government Association Vice President Kennedy Williams shared her excitement for the upcoming festivities, highlighting the months of preparation and student involvement behind the week’s events.

“I am incredibly excited to see this year's homecoming come to fruition. My student team and I have been diligently planning for the past few months, and we are all eagerly awaiting homecoming! It's so amazing to see so much anticipation behind this year's homecoming and the week's events.”

“Our amazing faculty and staff were able to help us to accomplish such a feat. I hope that this year's homecoming is one that everyone can enjoy. Eternal World Tour is a movement that we hope will set the precedent for homecomings to come. I urge everyone to go to all events, meet people and major brands, and experience the true #1 Homecoming Experience! #GoRattlers,” Williams said.

Royal Court Coronation: Kicking off homecoming is the coronation of Mister FAMU Miles Howard and Miss FAMU Edwina Fleuridora, along with their royal court attendants.

Concert vibes: Presented by The Winners Circle and the FAMU Student Government Association, the 2025 Homecoming Concert will feature a powerhouse lineup including Latto, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Bossman Dlow, Boosie, and G Herbo. So, get ready for an unforgettable night of nonstop energy that will have the crowd on its feet from start to finish. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the show begins at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16.

Homecoming Parade Tradition: On Saturday, Oct. 18, floats, bands, and student organizations will fill the streets in a colorful display of orange and green pride — a tradition that unites the community. Parade staging begins early to ensure a smooth start:

• 6:00 a.m. – Roads close to prepare for the parade.
• 6:15 a.m. – Staging begins. All parade units must arrive together before the 7:45 a.m. cutoff time.
• 7:45 a.m. – Staging ends. Due to new staging logistics, participants will not be permitted to enter the parade staging area after this time.
• 8:00 a.m. – Parade starts.

Football fever: On game day, Saturday, Oct. 18, the Rattlers will take on Alcorn State University at Bragg Memorial Stadium, with kickoff at 4 p.m. Fans can expect an electric atmosphere as the stadium fills with excitement, pride, and the roar of Rattler Nation for one of the most anticipated games of the season.
