Florida A&M rallies from fifth-inning deficit, defeats Jackson State 3-1

JACKSON, Miss. --The Florida A&M Rattlers fought back from down 1-0 in the fifth inning to take down the Jackson State Tigers 3-1 in game two of a doubleheader on Friday.

Freshman A. Brown (3-5) started in the circle and picked up the win for Florida A&M (14-17, ). The right-hander went seven innings, giving up one run on one hit, allowing three walks and striking out four.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Trailing 1-0, the Rattlers first put runs on the board in the sixth inning. Florida A&M scored three runs in the frame, highlighted by a two-RBI double from Brown. The score remained 3-1 for the rest of the game, as the Rattlers held on for the win.
