Florida A&M Set to Compete in NCAA Tournament at Tallahassee Regional

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Southwestern Athletic Conference Champion and Florida A&M men's golf team is set to compete in the NCAA Tournament May 12-14, for NCAA Regional play at Seminole Legacy Golf Club.

The regional will feature three, 18-hole rounds of stroke play with the top five teams from each regional advancing along with the highest finishing individual not on an advancing team.

30 teams will comprise the field for the NCAA Championship, which begins May 23 at Omni La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, California.

TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE
Monday, May 12 – 18 holes (stroke play)
Tuesday, May 13 – 18 holes (stroke play)
Wednesday, May 14 – 18 holes (stroke play)

BEHIND THE ARCHITECTURE
Formerly known as Don Veller Seminole Golf Course, the Seminole Legacy Golf Club is the result of a ten-million-dollar comprehensive renovation of all golf facilities under the direction of the Nicklaus Design company.

The golf course was originally designed by Bill Amick and opened to the public in 1962. The Club serves as the home of Florida State University's men's and women's golf teams. The new golf course can be lengthened to as much as 7,800 yards and a par 72, sitting on 174 acres.
